PEP for Injecting Drug Users (NEW!)
The education and awareness campaign for PEP – Post Exposure Prophylaxis – has entered a second stage. (PEP is 4 weeks of anti-HIV drugs that may prevent you from becoming HIV positive after a risk exposure.) The new green posters and leaflets feature the slogan “I never share, but …” and focus on intravenous drug use (IDU). The campaign resources will be distributed through clean needle programs throughout the state and are also available from the Information Services Officer at the AIDS Council of SA: contact information@acsa.org.au. Traces of blood
A video resource for agencies with young clients at risk from Hep C, Traces of Blood graphically depicts ways in which the virus can be transmitted and discusses strategies for safer injecting. Service providers find that Traces de-mystifies the illicit injecting process. Duration: 12.5 minutes.
Veintenance
This vein care & repair booklet started life as a pocket card and has been surprisingly popular with users and CNP outlets all over SA.
